Chapter One :Chapter 1

The sun was scorchingly blistering on the earth, with the distant landscapes blurred and distorted due to the heat.

A fourteen or fifteen-year-old girl was crouched on the ground. Her pale little face, chapped lips, and tightly closed eyes, along with her dirty dress clinging to the suppurating skin, made her look like nothing more than a dead thing.

A crowd of various commoners gathered around the girl, pointing at her and chattering with not an ounce of sympathy in their voices or expressions.

"Isn't this Mo Lingfeng, the useless poison girl from the Mo family?"

"They say she poisoned the royal princess, repaying kindness with ingratitude. Someone as ungrateful as her deserves to die more than once!"

"Seriously, I heard poisoning the royal heir is punishable by bamboo piercing. A long bamboo pole would be thrust through the chest and the body hung up at the city gate after death, tsk tsk..."

Amidst the waves of murmurings, Mo Lingfeng's tightly clenched eyes on the ground twitched once. She subconsciously lifted her hand intending to brush away the hair sticking to her face, but found that her hand refused to lift. There were aches all over her body as if she'd been abused.

A wave of anger surged in Mo Lingfeng's chest, who dared to cause her trouble?

She, Mo Lingfeng, was a top medical genius of the 22nd century, and both the righteous and the wicked respected her, so who dared to lay hands on her?

They were courting death!

"Smack!"

A crisp sound of a gavel accompanied by a stern reprimand rang out.

"Mo Lingfeng, you are accused of poisoning Princess Yunya, do you acknowledge your crime?"

Were it a normal situation, Mo Lingfeng would have sent this shouting creature flying with a slap. But now, she was curious as to who had the audacity to kick up a fuss in front of her.

Bearing the pain, Mo Lingfeng forced herself up using both of her hands, abruptly opening her pitch-black eyes.

She found herself in an entirely unfamiliar world with a group of people dressed in ancient attire surrounding her. On both sides, guards armed with swords stood at the ready while a middle-aged man in official clothes sat in the hall, appearing much like a scene from an ancient court.

"Might I be in the middle of filming a drama?" The confusion overwhelmed Mo Lingfeng.

Frantically, she glanced down at herself. A slender frame, pallid skin, coarse hands - this was not her meticulously cared-for body.

Raising an eyebrow slightly, Mo Lingfeng's face didn't display many expressions.

Intriguing, she had soul transported to another body.

Thought she was dead when she jumped off the medical building, but to her surprise, God offered her a chance to be reborn. Regrettably, trouble found its way to her shortly after she arrived.

In her memory, this body was also named Mo Lingfeng.

The Mo family, a renowned lineage of divine physicians, had saved countless lives, accruing immeasurable virtue. Perhaps this was a heavenly award to the Mo family, their descendants all seemed to bear a high aptitude for medicinal power. Unfortunately, this blessing malfunctioned in Mo Lingfeng.

From the day of her birth, the original owner of this body was cursed with a strange poison. As she aged, the toxicity in her grew more potent, any person close to her would risk being poisoned, her own body continuously decayed due to the poison, causing her to be clothed in black every day.

Such a body was clearly incapable of concocting and refining medication. Under ordinary circumstances, others would have already abandoned the person, but the Mo family held a shortage of children, the elders in the family were reluctant to give up that easily. They thought even if she couldn't concoct medicine, she could still learn to be a spiritual master proficient in martial arts.

On the day of her coming of age at fourteen, everyone else’s children were joyously welcomed home by their parents, only the original owner sat alone on the already dispersed coming of age celebration’s steps.

"Mo Lingfeng, Spiritual Power, Zero, Suitable Occupation, None."

This was no less than the announcement that Mo Lingfeng would never be able to turn her life around, destined to be good-for-nothing in this life and the next.
